Cam Pho communal house is located at 52, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai street, Hoi An. The communal house was built around the end of the 15th century and was restored according to the current architecture in 1817, during the reign of King Gia Long, underwent two restorations in 1817 and 1897 but kept its spacious architecture intact. until today. The communal house has a "national" architectural style with four roofs in front, the East and West houses are extended on both sides with the spacious main hall at the back. The decoration of the roof bank, the gable, the main hall and the unique breeds are considered exemplary in the region because of the sophistication and meticulousness in every detail. When it was founded, the communal house worshiped Thanh Hoang, the gods who protected the inhabitants of the village. In the early 20th century, after major renovation in the 9th year of Thanh Thai (1897), the communal house was renamed to "Cam Pho Huong Hien".
