Hoi An Folklore Museum is located in a two-storey old house at 33 Nguyen Thai Hoc Street, Hoi An, which keeps and provides valuable information about many unique cultural beauties of local residents. The museum currently holds more than 346 artifacts including collections of Chinese and Vietnamese costumes, tools and products of traditional craft villages in Hoi An, etc. These arifacts are variety in materials and types, which is the basis and valuable source of materials for research and exhibition, helping the public to have an overview of intangible cultural values, introducing the depth of culture, cultural traditions, creativity, and contributions of generations of local residents in the process of building and developing the land of Hoi An.  Nowaday, the Folklore Museum is not only an interesting attraction for tourists interested in discovering local cultural values, but also a place to implement heritage education activities in schools for students in the city and for a common goal of preserving and promoting Hoi An cultural heritage. The museum is currently open every day of the week, and is closed on the 20th of every month for speciality. View more
