The family chapel is one of the 9 main architectural types of Hoi An ancient town. Currently, in the ancient town of Hoi An, there are 13 family chapels of both Chinese and Vietnamese families. The Tran family is a Vietnamese family originally from Nam Dinh who have lived in Hoi An for a long time. The chapel of this family is currently being introduced as a traditional cultural activity point of Vietnamese people in general, and Hoi An people in particular in the program to visit Hoi An ancient town. Tran family chapel is located at the corner of Le Loi - Phan Chu Trinh street, address 21 Le Loi Hoi An. According to the introduction of the family, the house was built in 1802 by a second generation member of the family who used to be a mandarin under Gia Long dynasty.
