Cu Lao Cham (Cham Islands) is likened to a pearl in the middle of the East Sea with its quiet beauty, wildness of natural landscapes and long-standing historical and cultural values. In the system of monuments, the Temple of Bird’s Nest Business Founders, located on the sand mound next to Cay Cua slot, in Bai Huong, is a unique and large-scale religious architecture on Cham Islands. Based on many sources such as stone stelae, sea, old pots and other epitaphs, it is said that the Temple of Bird’s Nest Business Founders on Cham Islands was built on a large scale by Mr. Ho Van Hoa and some village officials of Thanh Chau village in Tu Duc year (1848),  in the early 19th century to worship the bird’s nest business founders and the Gods of the sea. The Temple of Bird’s Nest Business Founders provides a lot of valuable information about the construction style and traditional decorative art of residents of Cham Islands. Cu Lao Cham (Cham Islands) is likened to a pearl in the middle of the East Sea with its quiet beauty, wildness of natural landscapes and long-standing historical and cultural values. In the system of monuments, the Temple of Bird’s Nest Business Founders, located on the sand mound next to Cay Cua slot, in Bai Huong, is a unique and large-scale religious architecture on Cham Islands.
Based on many sources such as stone stelae, sea, old pots and other epitaphs, it is said that the Temple of Bird’s Nest Business Founders on Cham Islands was built on a large scale by Mr. Ho Van Hoa and some village officials of Thanh Chau village in Tu Duc year (1848),  in the early 19th century to worship the bird’s nest business founders and the Gods of the sea.
The Temple of Bird’s Nest Business Founders provides a lot of valuable information about the construction style and traditional decorative art of residents of Cham Islands. With outstanding values in terms of architecture, art, culture, history and science, the temple was ranked as a national monument in 2006.
Every year, on the 10th of March according to the lunar calendar, residents and bird’s nest exploiting workers in many localities of the country gather on Cham Islands to worship Bird’s Nest Business Founders to commemorate and pay tribute to the forebears who had merits for the exploitation of bird’s nest. Also, it is the Lunar New Year’s prayer ceremony of the villagers of Bai Huong to pray for favorable weather, peaceful sea and prosperous life.
