Quang Nam province registered to welcome international guests with "vaccine passports", negative test results for Covid-19 and only two closed resorts in the area.

On the morning of April 18, Mr. Le Tri Thanh, Chairman of Quang Nam province, said that the province had sent a registration letter to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism with a draft plan to welcome guests; If approved by the Government, Quang Nam will become the first province in the country to pilot the "vaccine passport" mechanism.

"In the immediate future, we will register for the first phase of the pilot program, welcome Korean guests, and learn from experience at the same time to switch to phase 2 and expand some other international markets," said Mr. Thanh.

Guests entering Vietnam will be organized by international travel agencies on a trip, each person must have a vaccine passport and a certificate from a medical authority with negative test results. The group of guests chartered a private flight (charter) to Chu Lai airport, not isolated, but went directly to the resort in Duy Xuyen district or Nui Thanh district; 5 to 10 days of stay.

According to the Chairman of Quang Nam, Chu Lai is planned to be an international airport and is eligible to add necessary equipment to serve the reception of charter flights.

Earlier on April 15, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung signed a letter to the People's Committee of Quang Nam province, saying that the ministry plans to reopen international tourism activities according to the roadmap, in which: , the pilot phase from July 2021 to September 2021, will focus on beach resort and golf tourism products for guests from the Korean market.

"Ensuring the safety of tourists, communities and workers is a top priority in reopening international tourism activities, especially in the pilot phase," the Ministry of Culture's official dispatch said. , Sports and Tourism stated.

After studying the field survey, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism found that the area of ​​South Hoi An and Chu Lai airport of Quang Nam province has the ability to meet the conditions of transport infrastructure, health care and transportation. tourism service facilities, guest management requirements as well as a safe space for the residential community for pilot implementation.
